Spring Masonic Lodge #1174
AF&AM
Stated Meetings monthly on the third Thursday, 7pm.
While Masonry is not a charity, one of the first things we are taught as initiates is the value of charitible acts. As human beings, we all have something to give -- be it our time, talent, money, labor, or love.

With this thought in mind, and in memory of one of our fallen brothers, Spring Lodge created the Gus Bayer College Scholarship. Each year (with available funding), the lodge's scholarship committee selects one or more deserving Spring-area high school graduates to assist in pursuing their goals of higher education. This is a true scholarship, not a loan, and awards $500 per semester directly to the student, up to a total of $4000.

Factors the committe will consider in selecting recipients will include academic record, financial need, ability to follow instructions and submit the required documentation, career choice, and applicant character.

Questions may be addressed the the committee at scholarshipcommittee@springmasons1174.org.
